After training and understanding the basics of the Model and Self-Assessment process, the practical activity can be introduced.

Self-Assessment as core activity can begin with the assessment of current performance against the 7 criteria of the EFQM Model, provision of relevant evidence, decision about level of urgency for improvement and provision of ideas for improvement.
